My new “album in the making” celebrates great American poets. The first composition, Edgar Allen Poe’s A Dream Within a Dream, gripped me the first time I read it many years ago. It was a beacon that illuminated my own life’s crisis. The poem’s many question marks defined my own struggle to understand and to find meaning. Working on A Dream Within a Dream deepened my affection to this wonderful poem and allowed a liberating sense of closure; the acceptance and the sincere appreciation of question marks. The more the merrier.
Inspired by Poe’s essay The Poetic Principle, with its delightful insights gave me focus while choosing direction composing and orchestrating.
